UGT and CCOO denounce the violent intervention of the Moroccan security forces in the removal of the Saharawi camp Laayoune, which carried thousands of Saharawi peaceful demonstrations for several weeks to claim their rights in the territory of Western Sahara occupied by Morocco. Both unions sue UN the European Union and the Government of Spain to rule out against these acts and to intervene urgently and immediately to the Moroccan government to stop the escalation of repression. They reaffirm their support for the convening of the demonstration in support of the rights of the Saharawi people, to be held on 13 November in Madrid.
UGT and CCOO denounce the violent intervention of the Moroccan security forces to evict Izik Agdaym camp, located near Laayoune, which carried thousands of Saharawi peaceful demonstrations for several weeks to claim basic social rights and the use and enjoyment of the riches of Western Sahara occupied by Morocco. The repression of the riot police and the Moroccan army has spread to the streets of Laayoune, where many inhabitants of the capital took to the streets to protest against the violent eviction of the camp. >>>>
